The dynamic response of the Timoshenko beam resting on an elastic foundation subjected to harmonic moving load using modal analysis (MA) was investigated. method MA employed obtain a closed form solution this class dynamical systems. In order use MA, accurate information is needed natural frequencies, mode shapes and orthogonality shapes. A thorough literature survey reveals that has not been reported in existing solve non-prestressed beams. Thus, we present complete how derive forced vibration responses simply thick loads. effects axial force parameters characteristics beams are studied described detail. validate accuracy method, compare frequency parameter with which appears favorably.
